Entry 5 : A Waitress Experience.

bismillah and assalamulaikum!

what would my fifth entry all about? Mdm. Azfa assigned me with free topic. meaning that i can write almost anything i want to. so... i think i wanna go with my working experience as a waitress in one of restaurant back at my place. that was my first working experience and it wasn't as easy as ABC. working as a waitress was so tiring but at the same time i gain lots of new experiences. and that includes being patience and many other good things! wanna know more? seat back and keep on reading.

it was after i graduated my diploma i decided to find a job. i mean, a real job that can give me money. i always love the idea of getting money. i love money! well i mean, who doesnt? i spent two months at home doing nothing. at days i hang out with my friends until i drop. i find it tiring and i think i wanted to do something different. so i decided to find a job. lucky me because my friend offered me a job at his place. so i managed to get that waitress job i'm talking about just now.

it was sooooooooooooooooo tiring at the beginning. never in my life i thought that being a waitress could be that difficult. or maybe it's just me? i don't know and i don't care. the first week was extreme disaster for me. i almost wanted to give up. but i strictly told myself that i need to go on. i can't simply surrender to this. if the other girls can do this, why not me? so that's a lil bit of something i told myself during that hard time. a month has gone and it's pay time!! the part that i like the most. you know what, there's something about my payslip that can make me forget about my struggles. i think i know what, it's the money! eventhough the amount i get was nothing to boast about, but i feel so thankful and contented because my hardworks are paid off.

during working as a waitress at that particular restaurant, there are few moments that i don't think i can ever  forget. i swear to Allah, these are what i will always remember in my mind. there are sweet moments  and there's also wuuuu.. bad moments. i would love to begin with sweet moments. i get to know new friends. these fellas are younger than me but they never see me as a sister. they're funny and we always joke around. and that helps me to forget about how hard it is for me to end my working hours. next, i get to be a model. it's just a tiny lil project for my restaurant. it was a bit exciting! you  know that awkward feeling you got when there's your face wherever you go around your place. it's kinda funny. told my mom i was so ashamed and my mom told me no worry, the face doesnt look like me. i know right, mom. how cute of you. and the last part that i can never forget is when customers treated me nicely, smiled and said thank you to me. it means a lot to me back at that time.

so for the bad moments? i just wanna share one. it was during ramadhan. it's the peak hour. customers are loaded in the restaurant waiting to break their fast. theres 4 guys. i bet they're at 30s to 40s. i served them nicely and they started to play around. they talked rubbish. they're wasting my time. usually it tooks only few minutes for me to served customer. but it took longer this time. i was so tired at that moment, my mood is dropping real fast. i wish those bunch of idiots could order faster. no matter what happen i must not be mad. they're customers, i must treat them nicely. and then one of the guys started to record me. okay, that was rude. he keeps on record me. i was so sad because there's nothing i can do. i report this matter to my boss. and he came to the customers and ask them to delete the video. unfortunately the customer lied, he told my boss he did not record me. i was so upset. i cried.. yeah, that is so me. and then maybe he felt sorry for me so he showed up and delete the video in front of me. he told me the reason he records me was because i look sweet. that doesnt make any sense!

i guess that's all for now, asslamualaikum.

Entry 4 : What Is Integrity And Ethics?

bismillah, assalamualaikum and hi people!

so today would be my 4th entry for my Personal Development's subject. as i was assigned by Mdm. Azfa, today i need to post an entry on integrity and ethics. so first of all, i would love to share with you the definition of these two words. according to google translate, integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles. and second of all, ethics. it is moral principle that govern a person's behavior or the conducting of an activity.

i believe, it's crucial for a person to have strong integrity. a person need to be honest especially in dealing with other person. what we give, we get back. it's simply shows that if a person do good, insyaAllah in return people will also do him good. this quality is the most important one especially for those who are working. as a muslim, we are responsible for the job given to us. we must take that particular job as an amanah. we are bound to fulfill it honestly. we must never corrupt! as it's consider to be bad and negative quality that must be avoided as a muslim.

to further with, i would like to talk on ethics. ethics is not really compulsary to be followed by a human. however, it's good if it is followed in certain situation. ethics can shows a good personality of a person. this is because it controls a human's behavior. for instance, when working in banking institution, a worker needs to follow the banking ethics. this is to ensure that the work process can run smoothly and the activity can be conducted accordingly. to maintain the efficiency of a bank, ethics is essential. ethics can also be applied in other situation, for example a person who have ethics is a person who always taking care of his personality, such as he sits properly during having a meal and many other behavior that can be considered to be ethical.

i guess that's all for now, til then. thank you!

Entry 3 : The Blood Relations.

hello! assalamualaikum, dear readers.

it's me again, fariha. so today i would like to write about my family and close relatives. to begin with, of course i wanted to talk about my parents. so my dad's name Jalaluddin bin Bien. he's my handsome tall daddy! he wins many people hearts because he's just too handsome. he came from an indonesian family. he is a successful educator and he received many awards for that matter. one thing that i like about him is that he can speak in many langguages. i am so impressed with him! he mastered arabic langguage the most. he is truly my idol and i love him so much!

another one of my most favourite person on earth is my mom. her name is Zainon bt Yaacob and she also a former educator. but now she's just enjoying her days at home. she used to be suck at cooking. but my mom never gave up. she is the most hardworking person i've ever met! she is an iron lady. she is good with multitasking and she can do almost anything within a short period of time. my mom is a very thrifty, but in a good way. she doesnt like the idea of buying unnecessary things. she doesnt like going out for a vacation. she is in fact different than me in many perspective. oh and she hates the idea of having cats at home or near us. she hates the cat's fur. she will go crazy even when we said we would like to pet a cat. i think my mom is cute!

my dad married my mom and they got my sister, two brothers and me! which make 4 of us siblings. my eldest sister is age 26 and she's working. she's not married yet. my sister is almost like my mom. she can do house chores pretty good. she nags a lot, which makes mom and her alike. but she likes shopping. secondly my eldest brother, he is 23 years old. also working and i think he's single. hahahaha i dont know but he'a a good brother of mine. i always ask him money when i'm desperate to have some. he used to be hardcore game lover, he read manga, he watched japanese anime and things related, i dont know. he's a bit weird compared to the rest of us. he likes to collect horror movies and novels. he can stand living alone in a dark place. lastly, my dearest younger brother. he is 20 years old and i am very close to him. he's working since graduated from SPM. he is a brave guy and have a big heart. he always help me when i'm in need. we always share secrets together. and thats why i love my family. thats all for now i guess. thanks for reading. adios!

Entry 2 : That Typical Next 5 Years Plan.

bismillah, hi and assalamualaikum!

this is my second entry so far. this time i was assigned by Mdm. Azfa to write on my next 5 years plan. so.. where would i be in 5 years time? frankly speaking, this question does not surprise me at all. i've been asked by too many people too many times on this. and i got just the right answer for this question. next 5 years i'll be in a classroom teaching numerous number of students. why? because i am a lecturer by that time. yes! that's what i wanted to do. i've seen a lot of my lecturers came from the same platform as i do right now. they're started from diploma to degree and then they became a lecturer. at the same time studying for their master. that's what i wanted to achieve.

and to achieve all that, i need to do my very best in my degree. i wanted to get first class for my degree. just like what i've got for my diploma. thankfully, i managed to perform well during my diploma and i got ANC and also first class diploma. alhamdulillah, i felt blessed and my effors are worth paid. i always give 100 percent of my commitment in anything that i do. especially things that related to my future. because i am well aware that it's not gonna be as easy as ABC to live a good life. i need to give some effort! i always believe in myself and whatever i do. i never listen to any nasty comments people gave on me because i know they're not gonna make me stumble down. my mom always told me to give my fullest concentration in my study because that's what i wanted to do. i believe she would say the same even if i'm working right now. yes, i'll always stick to the plan!

so for my last paragraph, i would like to talk on how i manage my free times. i'm not that perfect little girl who always do things rightly. i'm just me, a 21 years old girl named Fariha. i get distracted pretty easy. but since i got myself into degree life, i changed my routine a bit. because i can see the differences between degree and diploma. it's a lot more tougher and i dont think i can still be the same me in diploma days. when i got free times, i usually check on my homeworks. and when it has been done, i prepare myself for the next class. i do some short revision to brush a bit my mind so that i'll be ready for the upcoming class. i also love to get some fresh air. when i really have nothing to do, i'll start my car engine and go for a walk. sometimes i jog and sometimes i just sitting around enjoying the view. that's all for now i guess? i'm gonna share more on the next post! see you.

Entry 1 : I Shall Begin With Bismillah..

hi, assalamualaikum.

it has been awhile since the last time i posted an entry on my blog. consider this to be one of my wake up call to refresh my blog-writing skill. hope it's not too rusty! to begin with, i was assign by Mdm. Azfa to write about myself and to share some of my strengths and weaknesses. bismillah, i was given name by my father. he named me Fariha and just so you know it derives from an arabic word which bring a meaning of having fun. yes, i like my name a lot! well, although i'm not the kind of girl who laughs a lot (all the time) i still have that good vibe in me. i was born in March 27th 1993. back in the day it was the third aidilfitri. i felt so sorry for my mom because she had to let go of the celebration. i was blessed by the loves from both of my parents. it's the most priciest thing and i could never afford to bought it. my dad is on top of my idol list. he is a successful educator. he could speaks in numerous numbers of languages. in fact, he received many awards enough to make me proud.

i have 3 other siblings which make it 4 in total. i am the third and i have an older sister age 26, an older brother age 23 and lastly my brother age 20. all 3 of them are working and having a good life on their own. i am the only one who's still studying. i had just finished my Diploma in Banking Management from UiTM Arau. currently i'm in the third semester of Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons) in Islamic Banking. i am so thankful for this golden opportunity. it is one of my dreams to lift my educational level higher. being a girl who's separated with family is not that easy. i have to deal with many problems. this includes emotional, financial, environmental and social problems. thankfully, being away from family has actually create new experience in me. it made me matured and build new memories that i could not gain in any other places. i also get to know different culture and learn a lot from it. for example, i live for more or less 3 years in Arau, Perlis during my Diploma days. and for the record, I came from Tanjung Malim, Perak.

The environment in Perlis and Perak aren't the same especially their language. i thought it's gonna be tough for me to deal with all the differences. somehow i manage to easily blend into the environment, in fact i love Perlis! it's my fourth weeks in Merbok, Kedah. i am continuing my Degree as i mentioned above  in UiTM Kedah. It's also different in here but i'm trying very hard to blend myself in. i do have a lot of weaknesses and strengths. i would like to begin with my weaknesses. firstly, i am a very sensitive girl. i knew it because my mom always told me that. and i agreed with her! well, mom knows her daughter better, right? it's not just about being sensitive that making me weak. it's also about what i could do to other people when i get too sensitive. i get emotional pretty easy. i could not accept the idea of people that i love ignore me, intentionally or unintentionally.

it's not easy for me to be attached to someone but when i do, i appreciate it so much. i can't bear my sadness. i cried easily to things that hurt my heart especially when losing someone/something i love. i also very bad in controlling my anger. my face will turn into a hungry tiger when people annoyed me. everything is shown  on my face. secondly, i am such a wasteful brad! it could be in anything, whether foods, clothes, shoes, shawls, you name it. my mom nags me millions of times a day on this. but still, i am such a wasteful little girl. there's so many attempts i made specially for myself to reduce my wastefulness but it does not turn out that well. now i would like to start with my strenght. to begin with, i am good in decorating things. i decorated my own room and many people liked it. it relates to eyes i assume. i guess i was born with a good taste, alhamdulillah. secondly, i am good in making people around me happy. i have a good sense of humor. i like to laugh and it's more merrier if people around me laugh along.

i guess that's all for this entry. i will try my best for the next update! thank you for reading and i hope you like it. xoxo, Fariha.
